Development in church burglaries

Police today arrested a man driving a stolen car believed to have been involved in the rash of church burglaries Sunday night. He's not been charged in the church burglaries. The report:

SUSPECT — DEDRICK WILLIAMS, B/M, 09-15-1970, 3109 S. SPRING STREET

VICTIM — FREDERICK FREEMAN, B/M, 11-01-1987, 1869 S. GAINES

INCIDENT DATE/TIME — 09-12-2010, 1915 HOURS

INCIDENT LOCATION —1869 S. GAINES

ARREST DATE/TIME — 09-15-2010, 0300 HOURS

ARREST LOCATION — 1201 S. WOODROW

On 09-10-10, officers received a call to 1869 South Gaines in reference to a residential burglary report (Incident #10-99959). Officers made contact with the victim, Frederick Freeman, who advised that among the items taken was a key that belonged to a gold Toyota Camry (AR Lic. 882 NXC). On 09-12-2010, Mr. Freeman contacted the Little Rock Police Department and advised that the suspects returned to his residence and took the gold Toyota Camry.

On 09-15-2010, at approximately 0300 hours, Officers on patrol in the area of 12th and Woodrow observed the vehicle parked at the gas pump at the E-Z Mart located at the intersection of 12th and Woodrow. Officers made contact with the driver and identified him as Dedrick Williams. He was charged with Theft by Receiving and transported to Northside Intake. The gold Toyota Camry was transported to the Crime Scene Bay at the City Impound for processing by CSSU.

This is the vehicle seen leaving the church burglaries. Detectives are continuing the investigation, but no arrests for the burglaries at this point.
