Brummett's current assessment of political fortunes are nearly all good for Republicans (well, not Jim Keet.) For example, he gives a thumbs-up to the Republican Party because:
They’ll go from a 1-5 deficit in the state’s congressional delegation to a 4-2 advantage or at least a 3-3 tie. They’ll gain enough state legislative seats to block appropriations and make a mess of Beebe’s second term. A two-party system will come to Arkansas just in time to be more a matter of dysfunction than honest debate.
PS — I think, however, the GOP is about to have to endure yet another in their perennial controversies about internal financial funny business. More on that later.
