Another smash-and-dash burglary, but this time the van driver hit the Grapevine, a west Little Rock liquor store, and made off with some booze, not cigarettes as in some recent similar crimes.
LITTLE ROCK POLICE REPORT
2010-98875- Commercial Burglary — 10901 N. Rodney Parham (Grapevine Spirits)
On Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at approx. 0030 hours officers responded to this incident address in reference to a burglary report. Officers observed the front portion of the business was caved in with substantial damage to the business. Officers made contact with Christopher Engleby (W/M 5/5/64) who owns the business. Mr. Engleby advised several bottles of alcohol were stolen. The suspect, a black male wearing all black clothing, backed a late 1990’s model Chevrolet truck, white or silver, into the front of the business at a high rate of speed and then ran into the store through the broken glass windows. He then stole several bottles of liquor. A broadcast was made of the suspect vehicle. Crime scene was notified and responded. A check with PCRJ confirmed that Barry London is still incarcerated. No suspects at this time. It is unknown if the vehicle used in this crime was stolen.
