When life gives you peaches, make cobbler, right?
Otherwise, the line is yours.
SATURDAY NIGHT EXTRA: I mentioned yesterday what I took as a somewhat strange reference to Pakistan in Republican secretary of state candidate Mark Martin's campaign speech to state election commissioners. I don't think Arkansas will devolve into bombings and religious factionalism should Pat O'Brien be elected secretary of state. Martin insists he has a calmer metaphor in mind, but his desire to repeatedly bring Barack Obama and Pakistan into a race about the custodian of state records still strikes me funny. I also don't think a new horse barn in Saline County will mean the loss of American freedom. This is a Secure Arkansas conspiracy theory I mentioned yesterday and in which I couldn't resist a joking reference to Martin
Truth is no stranger than fiction. Blue Arkansas Blog has a report on a repeat of Martin's factually challenged Pakistan reference to — yes! — Secure Arkansas. Good match. Blue Arkansas provides the photo of Martin. It's him and a titanium spine, apparently. Another one of those metaphors. I presume he has a titanium model skull somewhere too.
