I happened on a good post by The Iconoclast on the question of where the Walton Arts Center expansion will be built. The Iconoclast said the Fayetteville proposal, a joint effort by the city and the University of Arkansas, was the best by far.

Cynics think the bidding process is a sham. Since Walton money will be required, Walton money will dictate that the new center be built in Bentonviille, convenient to the Walton’s art museum, rather than by expanding the center’s current home in Fayetteville. Our Leslie Peacock, on her Eye Candy blog, wrote recently in that vein.

The Fayetteville Flyer has several articles on the site search. It likes the Fayetteville proposal, too.
