Too hot to move here.

KATV weatherman (quoting from the National Weather Service’s more in-depth report) says the current average temp. this summer — 85 (average of high and low) — would be a record if the heat continues, beating 1954 and 1980. There’s a strange satisfaction in knowing it’s a record. At least we can brag about the suffering. No change this week — through Friday it won’t get cooler than 79 and the highs are to range from 100 to 106, for average temps around 90. Heat index climbed to 115-120 in Central Arkansas today.
