A New York radio station is reporting that former Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel has cut a deal to avoid a public trial on ethics charges. It should include his resignation, but that wouldn't be like the brawling Rangel.
Details of ethics charges announced. It's all been widely reported previously.
Deal or no deal? It remains up in the air. The hearing has begun, without Rangel present, but that apparently doesn't mean a deal is off the table.
