Now that the NRA has made guns off-limits politically, the lobby is moving to expand its agenda. It will presumably rain down the same wrath on recalcitrant politicians on its broadened spectrum.
The N.R.A., long a powerful lobby on gun rights issues, has in recent months also weighed in on such varied issues as health care, campaign finance, credit card regulations and Supreme Court nominees.
Why not a Gun Party? I can think of a guy in Prescott who'd make a dandy national chairman.
