The group of ad execs who left Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods in a recent shakeup at the ad/PR firm have established a new firm, Martin-Wilbourn Partners. David Martin, who resigned as CEO at CJRW, will be CEO; Randy Wilbourn will be chairman.
LITTLE ROCK, AR — Communications veterans David Martin and Randy Wilbourn are combining forces to build a full-service marketing and communications firm in Little Rock. The firm, Martin-Wilbourn Partners LLC, will provide marketing, branding, public relations, public affairs, communications strategy, crisis and financial communications, interactive, video and research services to clients.
Wilbourn will serve as chairman of the group while Martin will be president and chief executive officer. Martin has a distinguished 30-year career that includes public opinion research, business development, management consultation and marketing and branding efforts. Wilbourn has broad executive experience leading corporate media relations, marketing, public relations and government affairs efforts for Alltel Corp. for 40 years. Both also have extensive experience in leadership roles at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce. Wilbourn is current chairman of the state chamber and past chairman of the Little Rock chamber. Martin has served on the executive committee and the board of the Little Rock chamber.

The senior leadership group will include Mitch Chandler, Leslie Heizman, Andrew Moreau, Mac Stroud and Steve Burnett.
Chandler is senior vice president and will lead the business-to-business, economic development and video production practice for the firm. He has 20 years of economic development and communications experience that includes marketing, advertising, public relations, website development and event coordination. He has extensive experience in local television in multiple markets, where he supervised operations for news, programming, promotions and sales.
Heizman is senior vice president and will lead the retail marketing and healthcare practices for MW Partners. She is a 30-year broadcast and media sales professional whose experience includes news, public affairs and sales at several local affiliate television stations, including vice president/general sales manager at KTHV in Little Rock. Most recently, Heizman successfully led new business efforts as senior vice president for sales and marketing at a large regional advertising agency.
Moreau is senior vice president and will lead the public relations and public policy practice for MW Partners. He has more than 20 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications strategy, public relations and public policy efforts, event planning, crisis communications, financial reporting and communications for corporate mergers and acquisitions. His expertise is providing strategic communications advice and counsel to senior level management. Moreau has 12 years of experience in print journalism, including serving as business editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
Stroud is senior vice president and will lead the internal communications and employee relations consulting practice for the firm. He has more than 35 years of experience in human resources and employee communications. His expertise includes leadership development, behavior management, compensation strategy, employee relations and internal communications. Stroud’s career includes 30 years as vice president of human relations for Alltel, one of the nation’s leading communications firms.
Burnett will provide creative direction for MW Partners. Burnett is the founder of Burnett Group of New York, whose client list includes Alltel, the American Folk Art Museum, Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank, Guggenheim Partners, Honeywell, Merrill Lynch, NASDAQ, Stephens Inc. and the Stephens Group. Burnett also is adjunct professor of graduate design at the Pratt Institute of New York City.
