The Republican campaign machine is touting a new Rasmussen poll with a huge lead by Rep. John Boozman over Sen. Blanche Lincoln. I don’t doubt polling gives Boozman a big margin. But 61-32?

Do remember that Rasmussen is one of the most Republican-biased polls going. Nate Silver provides some details from his analysis of national pollsters.

UPDATE: Kind of funny. Liberals use the poll to gig the White House. Their take: The White House and Lincoln flushed $12 million down the toilet to back a candidate Boozman is beating by almost 30 points. They note that polls showed Bill Halter trailing John Boozman in the single digits. Said Adam Green of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee:

The White House, Bill Clinton, and the big corporations they partnered with just flushed $12 million down the toilet. They worked to defeat the more electable Democrat in the primary — not to mention the Democrat who would have had Obama’s back on key votes. Rahm Emanuel will go down in history as having some of the worst political instincts of all time — advising Obama to back Specter over Sestak, taunting progressives for backing the more electable candidate in Arkansas, killing the public option that had overwhelming public support, and working to water down Wall Street reform.
