Gov. Mike Beebe raised more than $550,000 in May, for a total of more than $2.8 million and he has $2.3 million on hand for fall, counting unused primary money. Republican Jim Keet finished May with about $14,000 on hand in his general election account. A month ago, his primary account showed about $31,000 on hand. But he did draw a reported 250 people to a $250-per-person reception Tuesday night (A $1,0000 special meet-and-greet was also on offer.)
May included the fund-raiser thrown in Dallas for Beebe by Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones. The Jones family chipped in handsomely, reports show, along with former Republican gubernatorial nominee Sheffield Nelson. The Walmart CEO appears on Beebe's report. I'm having trouble with my PDF links tonight, but this link will take you to a lookup page for all Beebe's reports on the secretary of state website.
