Garland County sheriff reports the death of a man Sunday from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg. It hit his femoral artery. The report says several people at the residence "got scared" and ran after the shooting.
GARLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S RELEASE
At approximately 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, deputies received a call of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 118 Lakeaire Terr. On arrival they found the victim, 48 year old Ron Hardage, with a gunshot wound to his right upper leg, which had struck his femoral artery. Mr. Hardage was pronounced dead at the scene by Garland County Deputy Coroner Rick Albaugh.
There were several witnesses at the residence at the time of the shooting, most of which got scared and ran from the residence, and investigators are still working on interviewing those witnesses.
Although investigators are working on the case it appears, at this time, that the shooting was self-inflicted.
I will update you with any other information that becomes available.
