Cecile Bledsoe, in the Republic runoff for 3rd District Congress behind Rogers Mayor Steve Womack, today claimed the backing of just about every establishment Republican in the region. Two former congressmen, three former opponents, two former Senate candidates, 25 current and former legislators, several issue groups.
And so what if Womack wins in the face of that? Might he be more independent than we've come to expect from the 3rd District goose-steppers who've marched in lockstep with the national party?

Statement from Cecile Bledsoe:
"I am very pleased to have the support of so many leaders here in the Third Congressional district.
