At this morning's Arkansas Lottery Commission meeting, commissioner Joe White asked the state Office of Personnel Management to conduct an analysis of the lottery commission's human resource policies and salary structure. White said he wanted to make sure all lottery employees were being treated fairly.
"In early May, I received an unsigned letter that caused me some concern and I just want to be comfortable and know we're operating with consistent policies in the HR area," White said. "The letter raised some questions and claimed that more than one employee had been wronged."
According to the lottery's attorney, Bishop Woosley, the letter was sent to members of the lottery commission and the legislative oversight committee. "The letter is three or four pages long and has various complaints," Woosley said. "I don't know if it purports to be from a former employee or not."
