It’s no secret that Faulkner Prosecutor Marcus Vaden has rented a building in which he had an interest for his office’s hot check division.
A complaint has been filed with the state Ethics Commission (timed for Vaden’s current hot re-election campaign). The Ethics Commission says it will investigate to see if Vaden received a “special privilege or exemption” not available to others. In short, the mere fact of the lease does not create a violation. I wrote a good bit on this last year.
