Mayor Mark Stodola will announce tomorrow a plan to create a "no-knock" registry so people can discourage door-to-door salespeople from calling.
I had no idea this was a big problem. But if Strong Leader says so ..... Once it's solved, I can think of a few other things worth looking into.
CITY NEWS RELEASE
Mayor Mark Stodola will announce his intention to introduce a “No Knock” ordinance at the City of Little Rock Board of Director’s agenda meeting on Tuesday. The “No Knock” ordinance will address the concerns of many Little Rock residents about door to door sales calls.
This proposed ordinance will allow citizens to be placed on a “No Knock” list which will be given to door to door solicitors notifying them to refrain from soliciting the occupants. The ordinance is conceptually fashioned after the national “Do Not Call” registry concept.
The proposed ordinance will also require the sellers to register with the City of Little Rock and wear a specific identification badge before they can begin knocking on doors. It is believed that this step will prohibit unwanted sales calls and will also help keep our neighborhoods safer
