Another blog reader takes up the role of media critic today, in the manner of a reader yesterday who was unhappy that the Democrat-Gazette hadn't sent a staff member to cover UAPB's win in the first game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. (Noted: an outpouring of D-G coverage today for the Golden Lions.)
On to a complaint of unequal ethnic opportunity from our reader:
This morning, the D*G ran 30 column inches and a photo of the St. Patrick's Day parade — in New York City! Their total on the Hot Springs parade, which drew an estimated 25,000 people 50 miles from the D*G's front door? Zero. It's even worse. All they had to do was pick up the story or photos from their subsidiary paper in Hot Springs. The thing was over by 7:30 and The Sentinel-Record had their story pumped into the Hussman/Palmer server by 8.
Boo's delusion of unfettered media mogul-ism fades even as his eyes perceive himself in his magic mirror in a coronet while he wields a scepter.
Hmm. Bo Derek was grand marshal. Here's Fox 16. That's their photo above.
