I've been following fair-haired Republican budget guru Rep. Paul Ryan because I think he's been peddling snake oil. I've been wanting Republican candidates to vote up or down on his idea of cutting Social Security and Medicare while creating a windfall for private insurance companies. I'd like to hear them too about recent revelations that his bill cuts taxes for the top 10 percent of America will increasing taxes on everybody else.
But it gets better still. An objective evaluation of his budget shows it's a complete sham. It was based on bogus revenue figures he supplied. The real bottom line is that his vaunted budget would produce bigger deficits than Obama's.
