Big business and PR and the cult of celebrity all come together in Tiger Woods' carefully scripted rollout this morning as a repentant sinner.
He doesn't owe the public an apology for whoring around. He owes the public an apology for the sham that was his carefully crafted media image as a disciplined, high-class golfing machine. That was just a lie. Except for the golfing machine part.
