Channel 4 reports that a Little Rock man is in custody in the investigation of the person responsible for a hit-and-run wreck Monday night at Sixth and Chester that left Gail Ragland, the wife of state Rep. Roy Ragland seriously injured.
Police Lt. Terry Hastings said:
Hit and Run Investigators developed the type of vehicle, a 1998 to 2000 Dodge Durango, from parts left at the scene. We had a witness that gave us a partial license number and the color of the vehicle. Investigators requested a list of all Dodge Durangos matching this description for the state. They began checking addresses for the vehicle. The suspect's father lives at 1301 Fair Park. Investigators checked this address and the suspect placed the vehicle in a garage. State Police received information this morning and helped arrest the suspect. A search warrant was obtained for 1301 Fair Park and the vehicle was recovered. The suspect has been placed in the county jail.
