The Pulaski sheriff announced another arrest today in the deaths of Michael Palmer and his two-year-old daughter, Hannah Grace Dowdie, whose bodies were found burned in Palmer's truck Dec. 21 on a remote road in southern Pulaski County.

Daniel Chase Gatrell, 16, of Jacksonville (pictured), was arrested on two counts of capital murder and a count of arson in the deaths. He's a cousin to Robin Todd Gatrell, arrested last week. He's being held without bond.

A search warrant was served yesterday on Shamburger Lane at a home owned by Charles Gatrell, grandfather of the suspects.  Evidence of an undisclosed nature was retrieved in a well on the property. Charles Gatrell, the property owner, was arrested for terroristic threatening during the search. He was released on bond.

Sheriff Doc Holladay said: "We feel confident we have arrested the persons directly responsible in this homicide." He said, however, there may be further arrests. Authorities still are saying nothing about motive or cause of death. Arrest affidavits remain under seal. Palmer had been given custody of his daughter the day before his deaths after the child had been in foster care for an extended period. Her foster parents had hoped to adopt her.
