Sen. Blanche Lincoln introduced Appeals Court Judge Price Marshall of Jonesboro to the Senate Judiciary Committee today and asked for his speedy confirmation to the federal district court bench.

It remains to be seen if anybody short of Jesus can get a quick vote from Senate Republicans and He’d probably have to promise to support capital punishment along with a few other small modifications in his record. What, exactly is wrong with money changers? etc.

BY THE WAY: I’ve been getting all kinds of conflicting signals on whether another open federal judgeship  in Little Rock has been resolved in favor of Denise Hoggard or remains wide open, with a new emphasis on minority candidates. Less still is known about a seat in South Arkansas. We’ll know when we know, I guess. Presuming the president ever gets around to it before he’s tossed in 2012.
