A reader calls to my attention the reported arrest Friday of a suspect, Michael Feuget, 43, in the robbery of an Iberia Bank branch at 4900 W. Markham Street. He listed an address on Southwood Road in the upscale Prospect Terrace neighborhod. Police said officers spotted a stack of money there in the course of investigating the robbery and Feuget reportedly provided details on the robbery and where to find the money.
Tough times? It would appear from web searches that Feuget has a background in business consulting and wealth management. A man by that name at that address appears in state files as a licensed insurance agent.
According to the police, Feuget is suspected of being the white man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses who robbed the branch with a semi-automatic handgun about 3:30 p.m. The robber fled in a Chevy Avalanche driven by a black man. At last report, another suspect was still being sought.
