Hot rumor for a slow day:
David Sanders, the former Stephens Media columnist who had a week's employment as Stanley Reed's campaign manager for a U.S. Senate race before Reed dropped out, may be a candidate himself.
Word is circulating that he'll run for the west Little Rock state House of Representatives seat now held by Dan Greenberg, who's seeking a Senate seat in 2010. John Parke had previously announced as a Republican candidate for the seat. Three Democrats -- Dusty Maxwell, Debbie Murphy and Scott Pace -- have said they'll make the race.
UPDATE: David said he's "getting a lot of encouragement," has not made a final decision, but is "leaning" in that directio.
