LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Dec. 22, 2009) David Martin, CEO of Cranford Johnson
Robinson Woods (CJRW), will remain as CEO and also assume the duties of
chairman of the board and chairman of the executive committee effective Jan.
1. Wayne Woods will assume a new role as vice-chairman of the board and
executive committee while continuing to serve as president and director of
travel and tourism.
Martin replaces Shelby Woods, one of the agency¹s founders, as chairman.
Shelby Woods will remain an active member of the board of directors and the
executive committee, and will continue working with some of the agency¹s
leading tourism clients.
"It¹s a tremendous honor to be asked to lead CJRW¹s board while continuing
to oversee the daily operations of the agency," Martin said. "Shelby Woods
will remain as chairman emeritus and will be available to offer support and
encouragement as we move our agency into a new era of growth."
Martin has enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career that encompasses public
opinion research, business development and management consultation. Martin
began his career with the agency in 1981 as a marketing research specialist.
He left the agency to lead research and development efforts at Alltel Corp.
before forming his own research firm in 1993. He rejoined CJRW in 2004 and
was named CEO in 2006.
