The Pulaski County Tea Party's idea of a good Christmas party is to bring the national grinch, Dick Armey, to town. They can gather at his knee while he tells of the unfortunates he wants to screw in the name of serving special interests.
Dec. 15, Embassy Suites. Bring lumps of coal for the uninsured.
If this isn't enough excitement for you, teabaggers also take note that winger columnist Michelle Malkin will be in town Saturday for an Americans for Prosperity-sponsored anti-health care event. AFB could better be described as Billionaire Americans (Koch, Scaife) for More Money for Billionaires. Their news release follows the Armey invite.
Please join the Pulaski County Tea Party for fellowship, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, and an opportunity to visit with Dick Armey, former House Majority Leader and organizer of the Washington DC 9/12 rally.
Mr. Armey will discuss Tea Party efforts across the nation, the
movement's agenda for next year, and the election outlook for 2010. A cash bar will be provided.
When: Tuesday, December 15, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Embassy Suites, 11301 Financial Center Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211
Help us celebrate the Christmas season and build a stronger Tea Party movement for 2010. Admittance is free and refreshments will be provided at no costs to guests.
Guests are asked to bring their holiday spirit and their commitment to holding government accountable to the People.
All the best to you and your family,
The Pulaski County Tea Party
AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY NOTICE
Little Rock, AR – Patients First, A Project of Americans for Prosperity™ will host syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin on Saturday, December 12 to highlight the corruption, special interest pay-offs, and Bernie Madoff-style accounting being used in the massive government healthcare take over plans being debated in Congress.
Patients First will be partnering with a coalition of Arkansas Tea Party groups for the first half of the event that will feature Mrs. Malkin. Malkin will deliver the keynote address at the Double Tree Hotel in Little Rock at noon. This segment will focus on the fiscal impact of the massive cost associated with the health care bills to the state of Arkansas.
“To meet the Senate bills’ mandates, annual increased state spending would come to $402 million, about a 10 percent increase in the state budget, which is now $4.5 billion a year. Very little attention has been given to the deficits it will cause our state that, unlike Washington, lives within a balanced budget” stated Teresa Oelke, Arkansas State Director of Americans for Prosperity.
Mrs. Malkin is an award winning conservative columnist, best selling author, and frequent guest on NBC Nightly News, The Lehrer Report, The McLaughlin Group, MSNBC, ABC’s 20/20, as well as Fox News.
Mrs. Malkin will have media availability beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 12th.
“Michelle Malkin is renowned for her no holds barred style of journalism, and we are elated to have her join us in Arkansas,” said AFP Arkansas director Teresa Oelke. “I think Arkansans will be surprised to find how laden these bills are with special interest pay-offs, pork barrel spending, and Michelle Malkin will hold nothing back in her assessment of the corruption in the debate,” stated Oelke.
