A top railroad union official, Edward W. Rodzwicz, president of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, faces a federal bribery charge in Missouri for soliciting a payment from a lawyer to remain eligible to handle claims for injured rail workers.

Local angle: Story says Rodzwicz first solicited the money in a meeting with the unnamed St. Louis lawyer in Little Rock. The lawyer allegedly gave him $20,000 in two payments in Las Vegas and Kansas City.
