Did I read it right? The River Market operation (including amphitheateer and pavilions), soon to be taken over by the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission from money-strapped city government, is losing about $1 million a year?
The River Market is a real plus for the city, a visitor magnet and a key to the neighborhood's revitalization. But $1 million? Can A&P afford to pick that up?
Maybe A&P would consider operating City Hall as an entertainment venue.
