So the Cabot School District won’t show the Obama speech because of complaints from parents. Just curious. Did the Cabot district show the similar George H. W. Bush speech in 1991? (Yes, Democrats complained then about Bush, though not as loudly as Republicans are complaining now.)

When I consider the worthless assemblies to which I was subjected as as school student — often with none-too-subtle religious homilies — I can’t work up too much passion about either a Bush or an Obama pep talk. (And, I admit, I probably would have snoozed through either.)

Shame on Cabot, however, if it broadcast Bush in 1991.
