Health care: Come one and all

U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder's scheduled talk on health care at noon this coming Tuesday has been moved from the Clinton School of Public Service to the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center. Plenty of room for pros, cons, 'baggers, etc.

For the record: Arkansas law prohibits taking a concealed weapon into a college or university event except for an "authorized firearms related activity." The talk is part of the Clinton School's continuing lunchtime lecture series.

ALSO: Tuesday is a good day for public speakers in Arkansas. Morris Dees, founder and chief trial counsel of the hate-fighting Southern Poverty Law Center, will speak at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville's Law School at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The event is open to the public.

ALSO ALSO: Rep. Steve Harrelson is Twittering U.S. Rep. Mike Ross' town hall in Texarkana. 60-80 people. No bloodshed. Ross quoted as saying he doesn't like government much either. Except, of course, when it is flying him and his wife around the world in a ritzy private jet for New Year's Eve partying. Or when it's protecting the pharmaceutical business that made his family quite well off. Or when it's oppressing unpopular groups of people.
