Some developments today in federal court, where a bond hearing was held for Sangeeta Mann, indicted last week along with her husband, Dr. Randeep Mann, who was already facing charges for possesing illegal grenades and firearms at his home near Russellville.
David Goins of Fox 16 is reporting that Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent David Oliver in court today identified Dr. Mann as the "prime suspect" in the so-far unsolved bombing of Dr. Trent Pierce outside his West Memphis home. Dr. Pierce, who survived the blast, is chairman of the state Medcial Board, which has disciplined Mann for prescription practices. Oliver, Goins reported, said Mann and Pierce had an "adversarial" relationship.
Nobody has been charged in the Pierce bombing.
Mrs. Mann was freed on her own recognizance. Her attorney argued she wouldn't be a flight risk. The government raised suspicions about flight because of family money transfers.
