Scanning the NY Times for news of Arkansas interest, I find the college football blog's report on Arkansas State, which is ranked at 87th in the pre-season assessment. What caught my eye wasn't the football. It was this comment.
Tidbit (adult beverages edition): Jonesboro is a dry county, meaning that the sale and on-site consumption of alcohol is allowed only at special private clubs with a liquor license. I would be willing to pay up to, oh, $50,000 for a membership to such a club if I lived in a dry county. Fortunately, it seems a membership can be had on the spot for less than $10. For A.S.U. fans, does the fact that the school is located in a dry county mean no consumption of alcohol at pregame tailgates?
Indian, er, Red Wolf fans?
