Good news for travelers

Little Rock National Airport today announced new service -- three flights daily -- by United Airlines to Chicago. This is good news. It's another option for one-change flights to the world. The airport sees it as good news for up-and-back business travel to Chicago, which I guess it will be. I see it more through my dreams of easier travel to Shanghai, Calcutta, etc. Emphasize dreams.

Little Rock National Airport, (May 28, 2009)- Little Rock National Airport is pleased to announce that United Express will launch three flights a day to Chicago starting September 2 using a mix of both 50 and 70 seat aircraft.  Customers may book the new flights beginning May 30.

The  new schedule offers business customers, in particular, the opportunity to depart on either of the first two flights of the day and get back to Little Rock the same day.
Currently, United Express operates three daily flights from Little Rock to Denver.
"Expanding air service at LIT is a top priority. This is incredible news for the city and state. We could not be more pleased to be able to offer the additional service to our customers. Anytime an airline expands air service, the action demonstrates the strength of the market," says Ron Mathieu, executive director at Little Rock National Airport. "LIT has been successful in maintaining service because of the support we continue to receive from our customers in what is still a very trying time for airlines and airports," said Mathieu.
