I presume this is a reference to Barack Obama’s national security speech, where the president is expected to back away from some campaign promises, thanks in part at least to wobbly Democrats.

UPDATE: However, Obama is sticking by his intention to close Guantanamo and says that some detainees will be held in U.S. If we can’t hold them, we’ve got a problem in our prisons, don’t you think. Cheney’s dueling speech, meanwhile, gives the country another reason to be glad this paranoid nutcase is no longer carrying the nuclear football.
