Good news, bad news (but not that bad)

The Junction Bridge, closed for construction of the Petite Roche Plaza, will be open for Riverfest viewing of the fireworks. That's the good news.

But you'll have to have a ticket. They're free, but limited to 2,500, because of weight limitations on the bridge. Get the tickets at Twin City Bank branches. And if you're entering the bridge from the Little Rock side, you'll have to show your Riverfest ticket as well as your bridge ticket.

Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. May 24, the final day of the festival.

POSTSCRIPT: Yes, the bridge will be open for Riverfest. It will close before the fireworks to allow ticket holders on and reopen after the fireworks display is over.
