Eighth judicial circuit judge Jim Hudson, 54, died yesterday. The Miller County judge had been been hospitalized since late March with a post-surgical infection. Hudson had been oen of three judges considered to succeed retiring federal judge Harry Barnes of Camden. Steve Harrelson reported the news yesterday.
