The LRPD has charged a Mabelvale Middle School employee with using school credit cards to make personal purchases -- total not disclosed so far -- over a three-year period.
ALSO on the crime beat: Guy calls woman a bitch. He pays. Punch in the face, knife in the shoulder.
On February 18, 2009, Ms. Ann Blaylock, a principal with the Little Rock School District at Mabelvale Middle School, discovered that the secretary for the school had purchased items she believed were not for school purposes. Ms. Nancy Wuneburger, ordered books, a DVD, and t-shirts that were not approved by the school. The invoices showed these purchases were made with the Little Rock School District credit card issued to Mabelvale Middle School and is reserved as the ‘Activity Fund II’ credit card which is used for club activities, sports activities, etc. The investigation found that between April 5, 2006 and February 12, 2009, Ms. Wuneburger used five (5) separate school district credit cards numerous times.
On April 10, 2009, warrants were issued for Ms. Wuneburger's arrest and on April 15, 2009, Ms. Wuneburger, along with her attorney, turned herself into Detectives at the Downtown. Ms. Wuneburger was charged with five (5) counts of Fraudulent Use of Credit Card and transported to Northside.
