Brummett has tired of the Republican-generated din about Sen. Blanche Lincoln and card check legislation. (Happily, he doesn't on this occasion repeat the inaccurate Chamber of Commerce talking point that the legislation would eliminate secret ballot union elections -- it would leave that option to workers, not make it solely a prerogative of managment and key part of management's negotiation-avoidance toolbox.)
Bottom line: Lincoln looks strong. Interesting notion: Scott Ford, who scored a huge payday for selling Alltel, as a self-funded Republican candidate. Reminiscent of the Jack Stephens senatorial bubble some years back.
