Roby Brock's Talk Business has begun a series of reports on a business community study of the Little Rock area to assess pluses and minuses in the ongoing effort to grow the local economy.
Roby thinks it might be a starting point for a broad discussion.
Some super-simple distillation of perceptions of 1,500 Central Arkansans:
Pluses: Affordable housing, low cost of living, reduced rush-hour drive time, high quality health care.
Minuses: Public safety education, public schools and "unity." (sorry, I gummed up the first entry initially.)
I presume those who commute from Cabot to avoid Little Rock public schools are not among those lauding rush-hour drive times.
