Barack Obama's coming inauguration provides an opening for the Washington Post to send a feature writer to Arkansas to probe the reasons for the deep enmity to Obama here, as expressed in McCain's electoral landslide.
You betcha they found a farmer in Brinkley, with plenty of deer mounts in his home, to say the requisite things about fears of gun confiscation, black folks getting uppity and the disconnect between the rural and urban ways of life. And, lucky them, the farmer also has a grateful black farmhand (no health insurance) who cancelled the Bossman's McCain vote with his own for Obama.
The local Democratic chairman wouldn't say who he voted for. Sigh.
