On Jan. 20, in the third-floor auditorium of the Mosaic Templars building, now the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the inauguration of the first black president will be simulcast, starting at 11 a.m. The event is free to the public.
Afterwards, the student choir from Washington Elementary Magnet school will sing "You can grow up to be president." Bring Kleenex.

Mosaic Templars Cultural Center to
Broadcast 2009 Presidential Inauguration
Little Rock, Ark. (January 2, 2009) –On January 20, 2009, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, 501 West Ninth Street, will simulcast the Inauguration of Barack Obama, the 44TH President of the United States of America, at 11:00 a.m. in the Third Floor Auditorium.
Washington Magnet Elementary School Choir students will perform “You Can Grow Up to be President” immediately following the Inauguration Ceremony.

The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, a museum of the Department of Arkansas Heritage. is dedicated to telling the history of African Americans in Arkansas from 1870 to the present especially in the areas of politics, business and the arts. Other agencies of the Department of Arkansas Heritage include Arkansas Arts Council, Arkansas Historic Preservation, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Delta Cultural Center, Historic Arkansas Museum and Old State House Museum.
