Thousands of NO NEW COAL petitions demand moratorium on new coal plants
Concerned Arkansans to Deliver Thousands of Petitions against proposed coal-fired power plants to Governor Mike Beebe
Little Rock, Arkansas: At the State Capitol on December 9th 11am in the Old Supreme Court Room, environmental groups and concerned citizens will present Governor Mike Beebe with thousands of petitions asking him to place a moratorium on new coal plants in Arkansas. Experts on public health, the economy, global warming, and the environment will highlight the risks involved with building new coal-fired power plants. There will be opportunity for questions following the presentations. A meeting has been requested with Governor Mike Beebe after the press conference.
