PULASKI SCHOOL DISTRICT RELEASE
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (December 4, 2008) – After receiving an afternoon “tip,” Robinson High School officials searched a student’s locker discovering a gun. Immediately upon removing the gun, principal June Haynie contacted the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office and had the student to whom the locker was assigned brought into the school office. Sheriff’s officers then took the student into custody.
The incident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, immediately prior to the 2:46 p.m. dismissal bell. The school was quickly “locked down” with no one allowed to enter or exit until all lockers had been searched. No other weapons were found. Students were released at 4 p.m.
