It's also more interesting than the news today in civilized Central Arkansas.
For example: the Fayetteville Trucker tells me that Steve Clark, whose hopes of political rehabilitation as mayor of Fayetteville ended in defeat, may yet have good news on the horizon. The Trucker believes Clark will be named soon as the next CEO of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. (\Current CEO Bill Ramsey, a former state rep., is retiring. ) The Trucker, a cynical sort, thinks this is why Clark has not been forthcoming with an expected endorsement of Lioneld Jordan in the mayoral runoff against incumbent Mayor Dan Coody.
And then comes The Iconoclast with some easy pickings that have been overlooked in the statewide daily newspaper. It's about a Siloam Springs preacher, American Legion leader (he oversaw the Family Funfest, apparently), Boy Scout volunteer who -- oops -- has a history of child molestation allegations. News of his past forced cancellation of his planned puppet show at a local elementary school.
I know The Iconoclast, and I know she's not making this up.
