It appears the Senate Democratic Caucus will vote on whether to strip Sen. Joe Lieberman of his plum chairmanship for his Republican campaigning. It appears Obama's signal that he holds no grudge against Lieberman has not been interpreted as guidance to senators who do hold grudges. (I was already disgruntled over his wimpish acquiescene to the theft of running mate Al Gore's victory in 2000. But, you could argue that the eight years of Bush he helped enable set the stage for last Tuesday's big sweep.)
But all this raises two other questions: Will Sens. Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln a) vote to strip Joe of his chairmanship and b) disclose their votes whichever way they fall?
A primer on what's wrong with Lieberman, in addition to being a turncoat and a warmonger.
