Voters will go to the polls just after midnight tonight in New Hampshire to begin the end of the longest campaign. But by now, a quarter or more of the votes have already been cast in states with broad early voting rules.

Josh Marshall is already chewing on the proposition that Sarah Palin is the rising star of Republicanism in 2012. Let us hope that graspy, vindictive types are indeed in fashion for the GOP in 2012. A Palin-Huckabee smackdown would be entertaining.
