The Beebe administration is apparently serious about cleaning up foster care problems in Arkansas. And, it should be noted, there are problems to solve.
We report in The Insider today that foster children -- and some biological children -- have been removed from 13 homes because of suspected abuse or neglect. Please note that married couples were at the heads of eight of those homes (single women headed the others), some indication that a marriage license isn't a guarantee of good nurturing as the Family Council would have you believe in their campaign to further limit the ability to place kids in foster and adoptive homes. But anybody's who spent a day in divorce court knows that.
