If you’re planning to vote early, your best bet in Pulaski County is the county building at Broadway and Markham. So says Election Commissioner Kent Walker.
Why? Many more voting machines and staff than other sites. More parking. And no tickets in a two-block radius.

Best time: 5 to 6 p.m. when most people downtown have headed for home.
Worst times: 8 a.m. and the lunch hour.

Early vote so far: 42,000 by 4 p.m. today. By comparison, the total was about 50,000 in 2004. With four full days of early voting to go — and increasing crowds — and a fifth day at the county building only on Monday, Nov. 3, the 2004 figure should be smashed.
