Best time: 5 to 6 p.m. when most people downtown have headed for home.

Worst times: 8 a.m. and the lunch hour.

Early vote so far: 42,000 by 4 p.m. today. By comparison, the total was about 50,000 in 2004. With four full days of early voting to go — and increasing crowds — and a fifth day at the county building only on Monday, Nov. 3, the 2004 figure should be smashed.
