Call it a midday update:

1) I see Colin Powell indeed endorsed Barack Obama today. (Given Powell’s depiction in “W” as a dupe for the current president, despite knowing better, I’m feeling somewhat less inclined to be moved by this news.) UPDATE: In fairness, Powell, among other things, gave a powerful statement about the divisive tactics used by the Republican Party, particularly the anti-Muslim theme many have advanced.

2) Tell me, did my eye deceive me? Is there someone in WLR driving a white Nissan coupe with the vanity plate “GOD”? UPDATE: Below, a reader with a camera provides the shot.

3) The things you learn at the grocery store. Like the prediction of a stormy Little Rock School Board meeting this week over disciplinary matters.
