Brummett praises same in Gov. Mike Beebe, an example being his appointment of Elana Wills to a Supreme Court vacancy, rather than a political pal.
I'll buy that.
But I'll buy it more when Beebe begins to show some public leadership and accountablity -- with results -- on the horror and shame that is our state agency that "protects" at-risk children. It would be nice if he'd just decide to speak publicly on 1) what knowledge prompted him to undertake a reform of the agency 2) whether steps have been taken against ANYONE involved with the four deaths and one near-death of children who've passed under the "attention" of the agency 3) how he feels about further terrible events occurring AFTER the supposed reform has commenced?
